馬先生之每日一字會鬧上法庭?

我們的馬先生真的很博學多聞，讓「cynical」這個字突然紅了起來!!!

而「cynical」到底是什麼???我想很多部落客都有討論過了，基於教學的熱誠，我還是要來介紹一下這個博大精深的英文單字

首先，我認為學「英文單字」一定要用「英英字典」，因為只有英英字典不會讓你學單字學到頭昏腦脹
要知道，中文比英文博大精深多了，所以用中文來解釋英文，很容易就會「引起誤會」!!
根據這本書 Cambridge Advanced Learner's Dictionary 的解釋是這樣的:

cynical
adjective DISAPPROVING
1. believing that people are only interested in themselves and are not sincere:
I think she takes a rather cynical view of men.
I've always been deeply cynical about politicians.

2. describes a tendency to use someone's feelings or emotions to your own advantage:
She works in that most cynical of industries - advertising.
He praises my cooking but it's just a cynical ploy to get me to make his meals.

從上面的英文解釋來看，首先這個字DISAPPROVING就代表這個字是「貶義」
也就是說cynical是一個帶有貶義的形容詞
這個字有兩個意思，第一個意思是說:如果對某人用了這個字，就是認為那個人只關心自己，而且不真誠
第二個意思簡單的說就是:憑自己有沒有得到好處來評論某件事

所以我們中文意思會把他解釋為:憤世嫉俗的;懷疑人間有真誠善意的;悲觀的;挖苦的,冷嘲的

犬儒主義(Cynicism)是個外來詞，中文裡本來沒有現成的對應詞彙，通常將它理解為譏誚嘲諷，憤世嫉俗，玩世不恭。

犬儒主義是古希臘的一個哲學流派，其代表人物是西諾普的狄奧根尼(Diogenes of Sinope)。這派哲學主張清心寡欲，鄙棄俗世的榮華富貴，力倡回歸自然(這使人想起老莊哲學，想起某些魏晉名士)。據說狄奧根尼本人住在一個桶裡(又有一說是住在甕裡)，以討飯為生。有人譏笑他活得像條狗，他卻不惱。“犬儒”之稱由此得名。關於狄奧根尼，有段故事很著名，一天，亞歷山大御駕親臨，前來探望正躺在地上曬太陽的狄奧根尼，問他想要什麼恩賜；狄奧根尼回答說：“只要你別擋住我的太陽。”

和玩世不恭恰恰相反，早期的犬儒是極其嚴肅的，狄奧根尼是一個激烈的社會批評家。他立志要揭穿世間的一切偽善，熱烈地追求真正的德行，追求從物慾之下解放出來的心靈自由。狄奧根尼確實憤世嫉俗，他曾經提著一個燈籠在城裡游走,說：“我在找一個真正誠實的人。”

大概的解釋就是這樣，那為什麼馬先生的cynical會鬧上法庭呢??
馬英九嘻皮笑臉的說：「居民的表情都很cynical」有沒有違法呢??

刑法第309條的公然侮辱罪:
所謂的公然侮辱，是指其侮辱行為，沒有涉及事實陳述，例如大罵xx娘、白癡智障...等。--->cynical這個字有貶義，而且是罵人家自私自利，還對人不真誠，災民已經夠可憐了，還被馬先生這樣罵，還在電視上罵，公開罵，身為一個兩個月民調滿意度就降到30%以下的總統，有資格這樣罵人家嗎??

如果災民聯合起來告馬先生「公然侮辱罪」，應該會破金氏世界紀錄吧???
不過這樣台灣應該會大紅大紫，這種國際笑話，身為台灣人還真覺得可恥!!
可是，難道我們完完全全拿馬先生沒有辦法嗎????他就可以公然罵人嗎????

或許有人會說:「有這麼嚴重嗎???」
這樣想好了，如果阿扁先生當總統時，對著媒體，似笑非笑的說：「居民的表情都很cynical」
如果沒有人抓狂，算我反應過度好嗎!!!
