[August 13] Kajang@Teoh Beng Hock's Memorial Service
Exco Selangor ADUN Kajang, YB Ean Yong Hian Wah, DAP Member of Parliament for Serdang, Teo Nie Ching, The Chief Executive Director of the People's Association, Tan Boon Huat, DAP member Lee Kim Sin, Councilor Lee Kee Hiong and Teoh Beng Hock's sister, Teoh Lee Lan attended the late Teoh Beng Hock's Memorial Service which was held in Kajang yesterday at 8.00pm.
DAP YB Ean Yong Hian Wah said he was shocked that the death note evidence was announced to the public, for a year after Teoh Beng Hock passed away.
"Why did the police take two months to find the death note in Teoh Beng Hock's sling bag? How many people have access to his bag?" he wondered.
"Why did the police use the suicide angle to investigate Teoh Beng Hock's case, but not murder? Were the police hiding the truth?"
"Why didn't the police translate Teoh Beng Hock's death note, when they found out it was written in Mandarin?"How can Teoh Beng Hock commit suicide, when he is going to be a father and getting married the next day?" These are all questions that need to be answered.
He said he wanted justice for Teoh Beng Hock not because he was his secretary, but he was a Malaysian. If his case could not be solved fairly, there might be more innocent people be treated such way.
Hence, the purpose of having this memorial service is not only to fight for Teoh Beng Hock's justice, but also to seek fairness for every Malaysian. Therefore, he urged everyone to give continued support to Teoh Beng Hock's family.
