In memory of the late Teoh Beng Hock on his birthday
A group of DAP Youth led by Serdang MP, Teo Nie Ching, a close family friend, had brought a chocolate cake and a basket of flowers in purple hues in his memory, placing them on a table outside the courtroom earlier this morning (Photo and caption courtesy of The Malaysian Insider).
Today is the birthday of the late Teoh Beng Hock. We gathered at the courtroom for Teoh Beng Hock's inquest with a bucket of flowers and a cake in memory of him.
I felt extremely sad for Beng Hock's mom. Birthday of a child, is also the day of suffering for a mother. I know she misses her son badly, I know no one can replace Beng Hock in her heart, especially when Beng Hock was such a filial son. However, we will do our best to keep her and Beng Hock's family accompanied throughout the journey to fight for justice. It is sad that we have to "celebrate" Beng Hock's 31st bday in such manner, in such a place. A year ago, he was celebrating his bday with his girl friend who now turned his wife Cher Wei. During that time, they only have simple food and simple cake, but they were so happy...
I can't imagine how Cher Wei is doing today, especially when all the memory flashback.. But Cher Wei, please be strong, you know you are not alone, we share your loss, and we share your pain..
Many want to send their regards, but only few can make it today due to various commitments. Those cannot make it today include Boon Wah Tan, Dickson Tan, Axwind Cheong, Victor and etc.

Beng Hock's family arrive in court.. Notice the Kuih Lapis in the photo below? It was made by Beng Hock's mom last night. It was Beng Hock's favourite.
