Freaking Fustrated....

So much has been going on lately, so much that i don't have time to blog anymore!

So many work to do so many obligations so many jerks around to screw you up at anytime...

July, i shall name it as the busiest month ever...

start of July is the freaking Venture Camp and its Expedition which is SPLIT into  2 SEPARATE weeks. Why don't you freaking people do it together... bull shit excuse 'we wanted to let you guys have enough time to built your gadgets.' or 'we wanted to see the quality of your gadgets.' As a result, whole lot of precious time wasted... the expedition was the same although we had plenty to eat (allowed us to buy food).

Then there is the Paddle for Hope on the 18th which was held at the Queensbay Seafront. That event was far better than all other events although it was a tough physical test both with and without efforts (wouldn't want to explain the without effort part, let's just say its not to our liking) The following day was the celebration night dinner at G hotel which was great. Food was basically the best i had this month with free flowing beer (yipees for adults) which i only took a few sips and we managed to get ourselves out before we were caught (they were asking the waiters to get beers for us). then we went around G hotel and Gurney with our team mates. walked around aimlessly till my mum called.

The following week was the Queensbay Sales at well... Queensbay Mall. Its sorta the only main event for all Young Enterprises (Y.E.) to participate. we had taken out 3 weeks on weekdays, YES on weekdays to do our production and we had Scouts Senior Troop Interview on that day as well (25/7/09). It was alright with free meals provided by our sponsor WD and I had the whole Sunday shift. Honestly i feel for those who were pestered by us during the whole time, if it were me walking through the area i would just slip pass hoping no one stop me to purchase these ' wonderful' goods.

Then that brings us back to this week where i currently a typing right now and have a Court Of Honour tomorrow (scouts) and Monitors AGM on the next day. I am feeling hopelessness... my hope this time had really been lost for bom....lets hope i can eat my words eh?

Expedition

Yesterday we an odd 19 form 4 scouts from CLHS took the expedition test...

We started out at Weld Quay, the new side which was new to me as i seldom go there...

We arrived there by 8.30am and after we were all ready, we informed our tester which then came walking down the pavement toward us...

He was all smiles as he asked us to fall in and later handed out the assignments to each of the P/Ls me being on of them...

Maybe we were lucky maybe we've got kang yean the tester gave us the easiest assignment compared to the others...

But anyways we started out at Weld Quay (1st checkpoint) and had to make our way to the Penang Chinese Swimming Club (PCSC) which was about 3 miles away for more...

we went pass quite a lot of historical buildings on our way there

We finally got there at around 1040 hours, and we saw jiunn shyan's cousin sisters there. Cousin sister to Jiunn Shyan: " 哇, 吃香蕉这样可怜啊!". After we finished our assignment there, we asked his cousin sister to help us take a photo for us...

We continued our journey to our next destination, The Guillemard Resevoir. Luckily we had been there a few times so there weren't any big problems for us to find our way there. I mean how can we get lost when we have 7 live Navigators and one GPS Navigator??

We had to wait there eating sweets and banana's while waiting for the guard to return probably from his break... It was getting very hot by that time which was aproximately 1200 hours. Then as we were having our break, the guard came. We asked him to give us his signature and denied us a photograph with us.

We were off once we got his signature...

Walking all the way back to the Botanical Garden... in the midst of the day... when the sun is at it peak...spirit were low as we walked through the shadeless road to our 4th checkpoint...

we manage to reach there around 1330 and started climbing up 168 at about 1400. As always we had to WAIT FOR KANG YEAN...he was back to his NORMAL pace as he slowly and i say slowly make his way up the steep steep road....

We stopped at 46 and 84 before pushing all the way to the top...

when we were about to reach the top this motorcyclist came rushing at one of us missing him narrowly...Then for no apparent reason he came back to tell us he purposely did that. We were like WHAT THE HELL?? Then he started to blame it on the 'haunted bangalow' which was just beside us...saying he saw 'it' 13 times...I was like BULLSHIT!!

We got there fairly early and headed to the Police Station to inform them we'll be staying the night there and 'helped' him out. We were bored up there and finally the other 2 patrols arrrived about 2 hours later at 1800... then we bathed and went to watch a Fire Dance show...it was outstanding...but it ended too soon...

We stayed up the night to discuss about the upcoming Group Hike... then talked crap which was followed by a grueliing session of Truth or Dare till 2am...LOL

We got up at 6.55 and hastily took a photo at 7.00 for the assignment and headed down hill together. We had a little breakfast and started walking back to school for our last checkpoint the Little Sister's For Poor and Home for Old...

They were having a Sunday service so we weren't allowed to do any service there, so we got a signature and a chop from them and that puts a end to our 2 day 1 night expedition...

Now 3 badges down.... Venture here we come!! XD

Day 2 of PIDBF09

It was yesterday that all the finals were held...

We got there by 7am again, to find the dam somewhat abandoned...

So whilst complaining about how early we were me and khay yam went around trying to find interesting stuffs...

The only thing worth taking pictures about are the Malaysian Junior Open 500m Race official results (CHUNG LING A TEAM - 2.59.96).

I tried to study while waiting at our tent but was soon attracted by newspapers my mum brought.

I read them till almost all of our crew arrive.

we were preparing for our Heat 1 Race, warming up together when suddenly the junior team managers were called over.

...and as some of us had expected, the Singapore team 放飞机.

So we were going to have another race with totally identical placings as saturday.

GET THIS...we had to wait till 5pm for our race!!!

wasted the WHOLE day there, under the stuffy tent, unable to sleep, sun burning outside, and no pretty girls in sight....

time went pass sooo slowly.....

we beat our best time by 1 sec during the race and Team B beat their previous time by 1 sec resulting in a Bronze and a gold for us...

lots of other stuff happened but i really need to continue studying so that's all for now... pictures will be up soon...

Eu Jo, song le?

1st Day...

It's the first day of the 30th Penang International Dragon Boat Festival and it's also the first day that I got a gold medal!!

We arrived there around 7am and it was quite cool with only a few people out there. So like the CLHS students we are we abandoned our plans to study instead we started playing cards.....

we played and played till all of the members were there. After a few more rounds, it was already about a quarter past 8 and we joined the 'seniors' to do some warm-up exercises (basic stretches and some jogging)

My team Chung Ling A Team were in the 1st Heat... we clocked 3.05+ just 3 secs behind the Heng Ee Team A (screwed a lil bit up).

Team B did a little off-form than their usual as the clocked 3.19+ behind the first in the Heat 2 Pacific West (3.06+).

We had till 3pm... and all those free time were spent playing cards, eating, drinking, eating, walking around, eating....

There was an opening ceremony for this event but it was delayed by our CM Lim. Then there were these kids playing 24 season drums - cool and much better than a drummer i know....

Then we had another warm-up session and we were ready to row our final race of the day...

After a slight technical problem we were on our way to the starting point....

"GET READY", "SET", "GO". and we're off...

starting wasn't that good but we got the lead during the power pulls....

and as a result we WON!!

1st gold to my collection of bronze....

let's hope for the best tomorrow....(who the hell are the Politeknik??
