Day 3 (Part 3) 台中 - 心之芳庭 (Moncoeur)

心之芳庭 moncoeur is a word from French - mon meaning 'I' and coeur meaning 'heart'.  They created this place with an atmosphere where you can feel the love, romance and blissful in the air!  There is also an designated area where wedding couples can hold their wedding.

Here's the entrance.  The entrance fee is $100twn and you can use it to redeem with your purchases.

心之芳庭 - this place has 5 sections -香草舖子 (Scent shop), 紙箱王 (Carton King), 森林音樂盒 (Forest Music Box), 親親我的家 (restaurant), 市集 (Marche).

Outside the 香草舖子, you can see the lovely mailboxes that represent Family, Lover and Hope.

The 2 lovely stands represent the founder of lavender cottage.

香草舖子 sells hand soap, body/shower creams, aromatherapy oils, lavender tea and biscuits.

Can you see the yellow clock house ?  It's like a fairy tale musical house - 森林音樂盒.

There are a variety of musical boxes and also DIY kits. All these are really so nice !  Those photo frames hanging on the wall are actually musical photo frames.  Try pulling the string attached to the photo frame!

There is even a special X-mas tree edition!

親親我的家 - We didnt went into the restaurant.  Here's the outside picture for the restaurant.

市集 (Marche) - it's as if you are in the French street.

There was also a small booth that sold lavender products at the 市集 area.  I was told that the round soap could remove your dead skin!

Hi, nice to meet you here..

I like your taiwan trip blog very much.
The places you visited very nice..
I must list out that places for my taiwan itinerary trip on this
    coming August ^^

By the way, may I know did you get any travel agency package for
    the above trip?

  • Hi,
I did my Taiwan Free & Easy. Didnt book any package.
Instead i engaged a driver for some of the places.

August is a very hot period in taiwan. I suggest that you can go cingjing, alishan since it's cooler. You can take this route - taipei - alishan - sunmoonlake - cingjing. I have recommended a driver in my Alishan post.

Taichung is too hot in august. If you go during december, i think it's the blooming period for lavender.

    Rgds,

    hi,

I will like to do a day trip like yours to Lavender Cottage; what
other places can I include besides this? Who is the driver who did
this route for you? I will like to use him as he will be familiar with
    the route.

Hi, I'll like to confirm that the Carton King is inside 心之芳庭? As we're
planning to stay in Tomato Hotel, do you know how to get to 心之芳庭?
    Thank you in advance!

  • Chris at July 24, 2011 02:08 PM comment | email

    Hi,
I'm interested to go to the places you introduced in your blog.
My idea to to take a train from Taipei to Taichung. Then hire a driver to go
to 心之芳庭 and Carton king before driving us to our minsu (Starry minsu) in
Cinjing. We will stay there for 2 nights before coming back to Taichung to
take train back to Taipei. Is this itinerary ok?

There will be 6 adults and 1 baby.
Do you have any driver recommendation?

    Thanks!

Hi, I'm travelling with my 3 kids to Taichung and Cingjing in Nov.
Hope to get some info from u. I'm confused. If Carton King is not
inside Mon Coeur, why is it that it is part of Mon Coeur? Is Carton
King in Taichung about the same as the one in Cingjing? If so, I might
not want to visit Taichung Carton King as I'll be visiting
Cingjing. And, how far is Lavender Cottage from Mon Coeur? Tks!

about my trip and I am looking forward to it. I will be going to
Taiwan from 16-22 Dec. I intend to go Hualien, stay in Bayview
minsu, visit Taroko Gorge. Then I am thinking of visiting
Taichung. How do i get to Taichung from Hualien?

Hi, I am a bit confused as well. Why is Carton King part of 心之芳庭
moncoeur though they are in different places? What is the difference
between Taichung Carton King and Cingjing? Will I be able to buy the led
    lamps in other branches?

Also, is December really the blooming season for lavender because that's
during winter? I googled and results shown it's during may-july which is
quite sad. I was really looking forward to it.

    Thanks in advance!

  • Fiona at August 30, 2012 01:36 AM comment | email
  • Carton king got a few branches. The one that I visit in Taichung shd be the main branch where they display big paper sculptures. Others are mostly for merchanise sale. Shd hv the led lamp.
    Not sure abt lavender blooming.
