Hola!

Lately I fell in love with a species among human beings
They're Columbians, the happiest, the most cheerful and the most optimistic people in this world!
You rarely see any trace of sadness on their face
They always greet you with one big kiss on the cheek and a lovely bright sunshine smile

Whatever's going on with life,
Silly or frustrating, depressing or boring
They laugh through it and they tilt their head up, looking for the next grip of life to cheer for
To them, life is a non-stop celebration feast
Laughters are their best remedy to everything

While being crammed from tons of works ahead, they would just yell out "oh no!" as their only complaint
And they put on their signature smiles to help them carry through
While being stressful from all the cultural adjustments, they would cast with a positive attitude
And tell you how much they're enjoying all the challenges and difficult chapters of life

Last weekend I released my stress by hanging out with my Columbian friend Maria and a bunch of her South American friends
They hugged me with warmth and friendliness, and they smiled with their passion for living
We were talking about how narrow-minded Americans can be, especially the rich and spoiled ones in the east coast who hardly step out of their comfort zones

They say, people who can speak three languages are called trilingual
People who can speak two languages are bilingual
Last but not least, people who can speak only one language are called Americans
This naturally-given privilege has blinded their eyes from seeing beyond the surface
You can be surprised how liberalism is failed here if being tested on global views

Stay open-minded, and then you can experience far more than you can imagine
That's the philosophy of life that should be anyhow continuously reminded of under the regime of Americanization

    Hey dear,
Yea I agree with you ! Though I don't have many chance to meet friends
from South America, I do notice that Hispanic seems are the optimistic
people in the world. They would rather enjoy every moment in their
life than waste time on grumbling and complaining. Wouldn't it be nice
if we can always pass the bad luck and depressing emotions by laughing
it all, then keep moving ahead to embrace new possbilities? Haha I am
so happy to know that you have those joyful friends who always bring
postive atmosphere around and remind you that life is too short to be
sad and we should always keep ourselves open-minded.
Girl, thank you for posting this article, haha I can always gain my
global perspectives through your stories ! I am all inspired again and
always enjoying it a lot : ) Take care ~ catch you
    soon !
