Groundless accusations

I've kept it within me for a long time now and I finally decided I should not cage it up. I need to voice out my opinions on the recent General Elections saga.

Firstly, my point is, Are Singaporeans really ready for politics? Do Singaporeans even know the meaning behind the word, politics.

I've had enough of seeing irrelevant and baseless objections that had been raised by Singaporeans. Most of these objections, technically, are lacking maturity and foundation. People are objecting for the sake of objecting and this is horribly ridiculous.

My point? People are putting the focus on the wrong mainpoint and this is a tremendously consequential mistake. People forgot about what the PAP has achieved for us over the years, and instead, they've shifted attention to *drumrolls*... Tin Pei Ling's public-speaking ability! HAHAHA. The mere mention of it simply tickles me. The election is all about who would be the one who could raise our everyday bread-and-butter issues to the Parliament and how changes could then be made to improve our lives as a whole! Most importantly, which party would be the one that truly delivers their promises.

And this brings me to my next point, Do Singaporeans even know the basis of the policies implemented? The aims and benefits which had been brought...

No! Because Singaporeans are still focusing on the wrong points! Instead of being grateful that most of us still have our jobs kept and a roof over our heads during the '08 Economic downturn, people are instead... focusing on why floods occurred at Orchard Road and how we allowed Mas Selamat to escape! My goodness. And yes, Ms Tin's public speaking ability(again!). *Rolls eyes*

I've no need to reiterate how much the PAP has done for us over the years, I'm pretty sure most of us knows about it. From a tiny fishing village to a world-class country now, this again shows how thankful we have to be towards them.

I'm pissed off not simply because Singaporeans are turning a blind eye to PAP's contributions to Singapore, but also because, many people are voting/supporting the opposition for the sake of opposing! My my, your country, your life, your future is at stake here. So, please for goodness gracious-sake, wake up to your stupid idea!

And people have been saying that voting for the opposition would mean a real wakening call to the PAP. This simply shows how completely dumb some Singaporeans can be. You mean the PAP doesn't know that they're putting their positions at risk when they set up the Speakers' Corner? Stop reminding how tedious one has to go through just to get permission to speak freely. I know. At the end of the day, people can still speak whatever bullshit they want, isn't it? And that's all that matters.

Indeed, many have criticised that the PAP has been doing a poor job recently, but I beg to differ. Yes of course, other than the stupid manpower policy that attracted so many foreigners in making us compete for jobs and transport, I think the PAP has done a really good job otherwise. There may be little progress as compared to the past, but for fucking goodness sake, look around you! In the past, we were not-at-all developed and hence, there were lots of room to develop and progress. But now, with globalisation, every single country is competing for resources and room for development is now minimal. So, if you want to compare, please, compare an apple with an apple. Not a chicken to a duck!

What I know, is that the PAP is the one that brought us to such heights when we were nothing. And we excelled in every area. We may not be able to progress at a huge pace, but at the very least, I know, the PAP would definitely crack their brains to ensure that we maintain the status quo.

I know I may sound pro-PAP, but I really am not. I have no say in this year's GE because I have yet to reach the age of voting, I just feel that Singaporeans shouldn't turn a blind eye to PAP's contributions. Yes, not all promises had been delivered, but does this mean that the opposition would definitely be able to answer our 'woes' instead? No.

Shooting groundless accusations and flaming our governments. Oh, so the bonus and gains from the Economic Growth was all but a ploy by the PAP to 'bribe' people and buy votes? Then why on Earth are the money still in your pockets? Spit it out then. Oh, so PM Lee's apology was to gain sympathy to gain more supporters? Oh, Minister Mentor LKY's tears were part of the plan to gain supporters (even though he had every right to feel upset that the partner that had weathered through thick and thin with him had passed away)? Oh, so we should pay lesser to our ministers and at the same time pray hard that they will NOT be corrupted?

This completely reveals how totally unprepared Singaporeans are when it comes to politics.

Frustration doesn't necessarily mean outright objections. So, fellow Singaporeans, please, think carefully before you cast your vote on May 7.

Just my two cents' worth of thought. In no way meant to be offensive to anyone.
