美國可以說是全世界慶祝Christmas最多花樣的地方，從thanksgiving之後 ，店家紛紛推出比之前更多的折扣，因為在美國聖誕節互相送禮物是很正常的事情，在加上大家覺得可以省錢，於是就會瘋狂的shopping。這邊的聖誕節和台灣的過年也是多多少少可以相提並論，像是親戚朋友聚在一起開party，聖誕節和平安夜一起吃大餐，或是去拜訪久久不見的老朋友，伴手禮大部分是禮物比較多，但也有不少人會買gift card或是送錢，讓對方去挑自己想要的東西，學校也會在聖誕節前後放差不多兩個禮拜的寒假。

thanxgiving in NYC(suppoed to be written in Novembre)

　　上個月跟我們地區的交換學生一起去了位於Sugarland的George Ranch，裡頭有好多不同時期的房子，帶大家回到不同歷史階段的德州。我們還看到了道地的牛仔秀，老實說沒有想像中的興奮，倒是有一點殘忍。兩個牛仔分別要把繩子套住小牛的前腳和後腿，然後用力拉讓牛倒下不動，等到大家歡呼拍手之後，他們才會把牛放開，至於沒有遊客的時候，這個方法是他們用來幫牛打預防針用的。晚餐享受過Barbecue之後，回到了YMCA做萬聖節的南瓜燈！
