Complication- Full Story
Why the world is so complicated...so hard to perceive.
Life is indeed a difficult subject...one has to learn it from one's own experiences.
I remember the guy who talked to my mom and I in the hospital while we were waiting outside to be called for examination.
The waiting room was very occupied on that day. A middle-age man came into the waiting room and looked for a seat.
The only seat left in the room was the one next to my mom. So he came toward us and asked us if he could sit beside us while he was reaching for the seat.
"Are you coming to do the MRI," he asked my mom.
"No, I am my son's company," she replied.
I always felt my waist was in pain so my doctor told me to do the MRI to see if anything was in the kidneys.
"I see. Health is indeed the most important. Without a healthy body, you can't really do anything.," he said.
My mom agreed. As always being to curious about everything, she asked him why he came here for MRI examination.
"Two months ago, he accidentally felt a bump in his throat. And at one night, he was waken by his intense caughing. He went to the bathroom and saw a big patch of blood stain on his shirt and neck," he said.
We both were appalled by his vivid description of his night experience.
"I am so afraid, but I don't have anyone to talk to. Would you mind if I ask you to talk to me sometime? I would tell you something that would be useful throughout your life and even lead you to success" he asked my mom.
My mom hesitated. She didn't feel like giving her phone number to a stranger but she wanted to know what he would tell us about.
So my mom gave him her number.
"Pursue simplicity in complication and search for complication in simplicity," he told us while nodding his head, "This is what I learned from all my hardships I experienced."
To my surprise, it has been two years since he told my mom and me about his philosophy of life, but I still sometimes ponder what he meant.
I think his saying might mean to be content with what we have even if something does not go well as what we have planned. And once we satisfy with our life, we should keep improving ourselves to reach a higher summit.
This is my comprehension of it for now and it may change after ten years when I look at this again.
This is just a little share of my personal experience with you. Hope this axiom can help you sometime in your life.
