Taiwan-What is special about Taiwan?
"I'm from Taiwan.," I replied. "Oh, is Taiwan the capital of Thailand?," the person who I just met said.
Five years later, "I grew up in Taiwan," I responded. "Taiwan! I know the Taipei 101 skyscraper!"
Taipei has gained its visibility and fame in the world these recent years. Indeed, I noticed there are a lot of changes happening in Taiwan right now - the life, economy, and political issues...
After my sister read my other three articles, she told me I should write something entertaining if not at least relaxing.
Another aspect of Taiwan endeared by lots of foreigners is food. No one, as far as I know, who has been to Taiwan did not complement on the oyster omelet and shaved ice.
Taiwan is really a haven for gastronauts. You can find a great variety of cuisine - Japanese, Italian, Thai...you name it. And the price is so appealing.
There are lots of dazzling restaurants...so where to start?
I would recommend you to skip these, starve yourself, and then go to the shi-lin nightmarket - the most famous nightmarket in Taipei.
You can enjoy any kind of traditional Taiwanese food there, and also you can indulge yourself in shopping and playing games.
The later the night is, the more busy and fun you will have!!! If you go in the summer season, please don't forget to try the shaved ice and bubble tea.
There are lots more for you to explore - the special culture of Taiwan!
If anyone of you who read my blog is in Taiwan right now and need a company (my cute sister), please leave a message. And I will arrange a phone interview with you as soon as possible.
If you have a picture of yourself, the chance of being accepted will greatly increase.
