My feeling about summer vacation and sharing from Oprah

It seems that seldom do I “orchestrate” my blog partially due to my laziness or a little bit fear of using the technology. Let me put it this way, in summer vacation, I moved to my friend’s house located in Taichung where I can have English classes with convenience. As you know, for people staying outside, it’s very importance to have access to Internet – the very media for you to explore some unknown world or just to keep in touch with friends. I tried so hard to arrange the wireless Internet; but instead, what I did was in vain. Fortunately, my roommate, Joyce, is an expert of computer, which helped me a lot in fixing my computer or applying for the Internet, and so forth. Thus, as expected, everything was settled down. Time elapses so fast that I don’t want to get back to school – where I need to adapt myself to the study, living environment, and part-time job. @@ But anyway, I had a very fruitful summer vacation regardless of my study, play or hit-hop dancing that I love a lot.
Now I just want to share positive concepts derived from one of my favorite celebrity, Oprah. This is my first time I’ve been reading her articles to graduate students in Standford University . From her talks comes a lot of inspiration in relation to life philosophy. As I remember what one of my teachers said, being young is guilty, for you don’t know how to make the best use of your youth and pave the way for better future. From my perspective, what he said somewhat makes sense. But the thing is that if possible, being youth is the very blessing. Especially, the most beautiful thing is learning that nobody can take that away from you. And the world, this Planet Earth, is like the school that has so many lessons to teach you. Sometimes the lessons often come dressed up as detours or roadblocks. Don’t feel depressed or discouraged. But instead, we need to channel our pain and hatred into an act of improving ourselves, don’t we? Of course, nobody’s journey is seamless or smooth. We all stumble. We all have setbacks. So ask every failure- not why is this happening, but what is this here to teach me?
Sometimes we really want to fly, just harness our power to our passion. Honor your calling. Everybody has one. Trust our heart and success will come to us in the years to come. Partially influenced by the whole environment or people surrounding us, we are incapable of making the decisions for ourselves, or even get distracted and confused. Right at this moment, the thing is to learn to check our ego at the door and start checking our gut instead. If it doesn’t feel right, don’t do it, vice versa. As long as this is what we want, just go for it. In the wake of reading this article, I regain my confidence and faith to move forward, though what I intend to do is quite difficult. Silent for seconds to listen to my heart and be strong to face everything regardless of good news or bad results^^
Best wishes for everyone I know&I meet, of course including me..^^
PS: Thanks for providing this picture for me to use on my blog.
