1st day in a new company

1st day at work..

I'm dry.. eyes dry, brain dry, skin dry...

and i wish -- Coffee Bean / Dome / Starbucks have delivery service

Day 3 -- Beach Day~ We went to Mamutik Island, the smallest island that covers six hectares. The speed boat we took sped like crazy and so, we took only approximately 10 minutes to the island from mainland boat terminal, Jesselton Point.







Mamutik Island is a peaceful island with rich coral and marine life, and the sea is so clear that we didn't need to snorkel to see fishes! However, I went snorkelling in the end, since I'm already on the island.. I can't describe how beautiful the underwater world is, I didn't need to snorkel far to see corals and marine life, and.. sadly, I can't use my camera to take pictures of that..







After snorkelling and swimming in the sea, buffet lunch was provided, and again.. lots of seafood~



We got back to mainland 2 afternoon because most of us are already tired. As my sister and I got back to the hotel and dumped everything in our room, we jumped into the swimming pool located on the basement, next to the gymnasium. The pool was not big but equipped with Jacuzzi, and since I didn't really feel like swimming, I sat there for body massage and enjoy being rained XD

Bout 6 in the evening, we went to Tanjung Aru Beach, a beach famed with its spectacular sunset. The beach is not as clean as Mamutik Island but still acceptable, at least better then PCB and Gurney Drive  We sat down at a cafe and ordered some extremly overpriced drinks while waited for the sunset, but didn't get to see it, as clouds were too think that day. However, I got to enjoy watching angmos bathing in the sea.. woOooHoo~

While we were waiting for our tourist buses, we saw some workers dressed up in the Kadazandusun costumes. Don't know what their function were...



Ah~ A wonderful day with sun and beach and sea  We went back the next day after going to the Sunday Market (nothing special, just their usual beads accessories and vegetables and fruits and.. some other things we always see in the markets) and taken our lunch.

Day 2.. woke up bout 7 something, feeling cold, but the sky is already bright. After finished up my breakfast, I went out with my sister and took some photos of the Kinabalu Mount, then only we realized how beautiful the surroundings of the hotel is..





After that, we stil have some time, so we walked to the Kundasang War Memorial not  too far away from our hotel. The War Memorial was built to remember the 2828 Australian and British prisoners who died during the Second World War at the Sandakan POW Camp also to remember 3 infamous forced death marches from Sandakan to Ranau.







Kundasang War Memorial, Sabah is a fort like memorial that was designed by a local architect J. C. Robinson. It has 4 interlocking but separate gardens to represent the homelands of the warriors who had died. There is an Australian Garden, a formal English garden of roses, a Borneo Garden with wild flowers of Kinabalu, and at the top level is the 'Comtemplation Garden' with a refection pool and pergola.











In the afternoon, the tour guides took us to Poring Hot Spring. Before dipping ourselves into the hot spring tub, we (me) were forced to go for canopy walk not very faraway from the hot spring spot. We need to went for a 8 to 15 minutes jungle trekking from the hot springs before getting up to the canopy walkway.. and although I'm afraid of height, YAHOO~ I'm able to finish the whole journey.. WHEEE~

After canopy walking, we went back to the hot springs spot, get changed and dipped ourselves into the hot spring tubs..

Finally I got to go to the other half part of Malaysia!! My uncle held a trip to Kota Kinabalu, Sabah for his employees, and we got the chance to go there together, woohoo~!

We went there by plane, boarding from Senai Airport, Johore to Kinabalu Airport. I don't really like Senai Airport because we need to take JUST 3 MINUTES WALK to and fro the parking lot and airport due to their renovations that seems never-ending. Well, I didn't need 3 minutes, just 1 to 2 minutes.. hehe.. but because there's a board at each end of the pathway saying 'Just 3 Minutes Walk'.. and I'm always lazy, especially when I was carrying luggage.



The flight from Johore to Kota Kinabalu took about 2 hours, and so sis ordered Air Asia's fried rice which taste.. erm.. perfect only if you're starving XD; while I continued with my book. We also took some pics on plane, because 2 hours flight is a little bit.. boring, hee..




 

Finally, we arrived Kinabalu Airport which is surprisingly small.. well, just to me.. I thought Sabah is a very busy place.. and we were welcomed by our 2 tourists guides. We were then taken to a restaurant for lunch, and I was shocked when I got to know they have ordered 8 dishes and 1 big bowl of soup for us.. 




After lunch, they took us on a city tour of Kinabalu city, we then stop in front of the 30 storey Sabah Foundation Building. According to the tour guides, there's a revolving restaurant on the 18th floor, but then it would be very expensive.. hmn, I want to try to get up there and have a meal one day, when I have no money worries XD



After that, the 2 tour guides took us to try out their fruits -- Durian, mango and something called Talap. There're 2 kinds of Durians -- one with orange meat, taste very creamy, like Durian moouse; and the other one with long thorns, looks like sea urchin.. and the people there call it 流星槌.. but it taste almost the same with those normal Durians we eat in Peninsular Malaysia, just maybe.. the taste a little bit stronger.




Then the mango.. taste the same, only more textured, but the skin looked like rotten melon, and thicker, and bigger compared to those mangoes we saw here.




Well, as for Talap.. I don't know how to explain the taste.. sweet and sour, mommy says it tastes a little bit like nangka.. that I'm not sure, cause I never eat nangka, can't stand the smell.. but this fruit has no strong smell like durians or cempedak..



Next stop -- Power Station Road (动力火车路？)The Kinabalu Park. It is the entrance to Mount Kinabalu, but we just stop at the entrance to look around and take pictures.. I'm so NOT climbing this mountain.. There's a climbathon ranking board situated next to the entrance, showing names of superhumans who took less then 4 hours to run up and down this mountain. Anyway, the weather there is wonderful~ about 16 degree celcius when I was there, and the air.. incredibly fresh.. if I ignore the smoker next to me by then..  

I've gone to Johore last 2 weeks to attend my cousin's wedding. The wedding dinner was held in Pekin Restaurant close to his house, and the food was very nice, thought  didn't get to take pictures of them.. meanwhile, it's a good opportunity to meet up with some relatives that I haven't been seeing for some time..



I drank some red wine, and so I was red all over.. but I'm very sure I'm not drunk



Oh, and I have a little cousin brother who's very cute.. but have to be very careful while playing with him.. because I ended up with a bruising knee and broken glasses..  and it can't be repaired..

Yay! Finally got to online~ home is heaven but there's no internet.. 

After finishing my work in my old company and before I got back to my hometown, which was 3 weeks ago, I went to celebrate with my friends.. 1st night I went to have crabs.. crabbie~



Next~ (I'm lazy to describe.. too long d..) 2nd night, I went to celebrate with another group of friends.. we went to Obake-Ya. It's a Japanese Restaurant in Jail located at Leith Street, next to EAA.. took their buffet dinner.. quite worth it, since I eat a lot and the food is ok, but didn't really enjoy myself because we were there late, and the restaurant owner wants us to finish everything before 10pm, if not we'll be charged for food wastage.. duh.. still, it's quite an experience eating there..

Woke up 10 something in the morning, thinking I should update my blog, but.. as I was feeling warmer and warmer I suddenly realized that the electricity was cut off.. ARH!!!I woke up with a good mood in a beautiful holiday morning WITH NO ELECTRICITY?!  GREAT..

Anyway, since there was no electricity and I didn't know where to go, and even if I go out there would be terrible traffic jam everywhere, I decided to stay home and continue sleeping, but till 2 or 3 in the evening I got up, still no idea where to go and what to do, I started to clean my room and found one of my favourite storybook -- The Gatecrasher by Madeleine Wickham and start reading while continue sauna-ing in my room.. 


Oh well, get back to things I thought I was gonna upload this morning..Last Friday, I went to Kiss A Koyotei Cafe to have dinner, ate till very very full that night, hahahahahahha~ Oh, the satisfaction~

I had Ramen Kimuchi set that comes with 4 pieces of Futomaki, yum~ I didn't expect the Futomaki to taste so nice! I stuffed the whole thing into my mouth as I couldn't bite it into two, and found out.. every bite taste different.. first bite I tasted rice (normal); and then second bite.. something sweet; third bite sour, and then mixture of everything.. yummy~~  but I don't know what the fillings are, and why it is sweet and sour. I just know it's a little bit crunchy because of the cucumber.


My friend had Tempura set.. huge set with salad, cawanmushi, various tempura (salmon, maguro, shrimp, eggplant, potato, and some other things I can't remember), rice, fruits, and some marinated thing.. quite nice, as the tempura include shrimp tempura XD and of course my friend gave me one of her shrimps, hahahahha~


Besides, we also ordered Kimuchi and Siromaguro Sashimi, both taste really good, but I love the Kimuchi the most. The taste is just right.. spicy and sour and salty enough, and the vege still tasted fresh! Yummy~ I would definately order it if I ever go to the cafe again. 

一大早被闹钟吵醒.. 烦！

前一天和朋友去看电影，回到家冲凉收拾发呆，到要睡觉时就很迟了，所以不甘愿要起床。准备好全部东西还没到上班时间，我又倒在床上，打算多睡个五分钟也很爽，结果不睡还好，睡了更累！因为一睡着就发恶梦 *beep*

一进到公司就开始赶3D.. 讨厌！就因为client的一句‘我想要layout那边改一点东西’，就是他们的一点东西我连ceiling design和3D要重新想过画过，不过算了，我认了做designer的命。

就在我正在很努力的想ceiling何flooring design的时候，我的老板一直在耳边念我，做这个，拿那个，然后photostat，还有整理资料.. 还要填一个奇怪的form，如果我没搞错的话是建筑商要contractor填他们的一些资料，关我屁事？！一大叠纸，问题又怪怪的.. 没多久就问我这project什么时候可以做好。哎~ 没多久又来了Mr a Bao，叫我把全部图当天完成，然后email给他。就因为它的这句话我赶到8点多差不多9点才回家.. 可以讲我笨，我无所谓~ 但是因为他真的教了我很多东西，我就算了..

做着做着，一个年轻男生来敲公司的门，一开口就是‘姐姐，你好！’ Hello~ 我哪里像你姐姐？哥哥，你的样子也没有很年轻喂~ 哦！他是来讨钱的.. 好听一点是来寻找热心人士捐助，帮助一位可怜的患病孩童，whatever.. 然后又企图跟我闲聊，问我的老板是不是我的老公。老公？！这个男生真的.. 没眼光，怎样看我的老板都不会是我的老伴啊！*beep*

当天原本答应了姐姐和一些朋友一起吃大餐，结果咧.. 因为要加班泡汤了.. 他们自己去吃喝玩乐.. 鬼不知道‘长命功夫长命做’，但是.. 因为鬼就是没有命了，而很多人都讲我象鬼，所以.. 反正也要走了，就赶给他完啦！免得被我老板在外面唱衰..

赶图的当儿，竟然让我看到衰人！就是那个我很讨厌的client.. 也算了，讲太多好象我很记仇酱.. 只是他还来敲我的门！还要跟我聊天，问我记得他是谁吗？可以的话我也不想记得好不好.. 偏偏我的记性总是用在错的地方 *beep*

终于让我赶完所有的东西然后send给a Bao了，朋友竟然跟我讲外面下着大雨！我真的是晴天霹雳啊！！为什么会下大雨？*beep* 哎~ 所以我就下楼，到Sam Hui Cafe去打包鲍鱼蒸饭，当慰劳自己一下.. 饿了一整天，一粒灰尘都没有吃到.. 原本的丰盛晚餐时间变成加班赶工时间，又多饿了三个小时。打包完走路回家虽然是撑伞，但是也就只有头顶没湿，象一只一直不肯把头浸进汤的落汤鸡。

终于回到apartment楼下，发现一个电梯竟然坏了，所以要等电梯到超慢的。那时候竟然有一只kachuak小强一直对我‘甲’视眈眈，企图对我发出攻击，而我节节后退，不想以大欺小，还好就在它快踏入我的安全范围时电梯到了，呼~ 立刻冲进电梯，终于安全抵达家门！

当天唯一庆幸的是晚餐真的很不错。RM15的套餐，有咸鱼加鲍鱼蒸饭、不新鲜的苹果（应该是因为我冲凉太久了）、salad、粉丝汤（假鱼翅）、Iced Lemon Tea，然后不加Tax！原本还在想RM15会不会有点贵，吃完了就觉得值得，至少心情没有太烂了..

Finally, after a week working like a cow i am free, woohoo~!! Oh well, not like a cow, just dream less and work more. Yesterday after finish rushing and passing up everything to the.. erm.. carpenter?? (don't know who he is, just know he's a friend of my boss  who call himself a Bao and he's in charge of this project, don't even know why I need to do work for him too, but since i learnt quite a lot from him, I'll just keep quiet).. after passing up everything to him it was already 5 something, and since then I wished very hard yesterday was friday already.. but of course my wish didn't come true.. duh.. Today Mr a Bao will go for presentation, and hope everything would be ok, and that I don't need to do much amendments, wheeeeeeeeee~

Now just left some empty plans to draft, and I am sooooo lazy to do anything right now, except lying on my bed and day dream.. not facing this architecture drawings, trying to understand why a 5500mm gate opening is using 4500mm gate? Why want to build a three storey building and left the second floor empty? Also, kinda pity this family.. because there's only one bathroom on the first floor, but there's 5 bedrooms! Pity, hope no one gets diarrhea.. touchwood.. don't want to say anything bad today, since it's not a good day..

Alright, I'll just get back to work, thinking why the 5500mm opening is using 4500mm gate.. ^^

Ah! Satisfaction~

Went to a fusion restaurant @ Jalan Chow Thye for dinner just now, called Bravo's Cafe. From outside it looked like a Thai Restaurant, and the signboard printed Bravo Cafe -- Authentic Thai, Nyonya and Local Cuisine; while the interior is very.. Chinese..? Well, like one of those old houses.. and certainly smell like my grandmother's house. The moment I stepped in I was attracted by it's black signboard with golden writings -- 香味, meaning fragrance, and then I was amazed by it's ratten stools and chairs.. my response was.. wow! Ratten~!! I haven't been seeing these furniture for some time.

The other thing that attracts me is the songs played by the owner of restaurant. Those songs are.. erm.. country oldies? Some songs like Moon River are playing while we're eating, so the whole environment is very very very fusion.

After scanning through the menu, my sister and I ordered stuffed crab 蟹有乾坤 as appetizer; main dishes -- my favourite fried kailan and red wine and ginger chicken soup; and jelly lychee as dessert (I skipped this, as I never like desserts). These dishes taste like.. home.. yum yum~~ Reminds me of my grams and mommy's cooking, because few weeks ago I was just telling my mom I missed stuffed crabs a lot, muahahahhaha!

Well, that's all for tonight's dinner. Though it's a little bit expensive (RM40.50 for tonight's dishes), but I'm quite happy with it, woohoo~ Now I feel like cookie monster who just finish eating a whole jug of freshly baked cookies ^^

Yesh, I've resigned.. finally~ What a relief after giving Mr. K my resignation letter.. whew~

Bless me to find another boss who knows how to appreciate what I do next time, a little bit would be good enough..

今天睡了一天，心情好好！虽然刚才醒来的时候觉得全身都干枯了，很难受，但真难得让我睡得那么熟，如果有下雨就真的是perfect了！明天又是让我睡觉，完美的一天！哈哈哈~ 今天放工迟了，做到差不多3点。一方面是不想回家替我屋主等不懂什么人搬什么烂钢琴，一方面是想要完成一些3D，但是last minute懒惰等render，所以就先溜了。回到家里吃了一点东西就倒头大睡，超爽！

昨天又去了MaaRoy吃晚餐，发生了一些让我不太爽的事情，但是.. 算了，想想也没什么，我发誓我没在生气也没在介意啦！真的，没事了。昨天叫了一样新的食物，它有在menu上很久了，但一直都没有注意到，叫Prawn Cakes。其实应该就是虾丸啦！味道很.. 虾。配饭没那么好吃，反而当零嘴超好吃的，因为当时我饱了，所以打包回家当宵夜。

另外一个不小心让我看到有新的饮料，叫Punch，好像喝完可以打扁人，令我好想来一杯，但原来是Fruit Punch，切~ 蛮好喝的啦，酸酸甜甜，是我喜欢的味道，但是不用担心，还没到我非常喜欢的变态酸度，正常人还可以喝。

回到家里，开始吃东西时就开始看我猜。我的妈！笑翻了我。那有名的慧慈上网路爆红人物的单元，他真的太妙了啦！之前就有听朋友提起这号人物，但是真的看时就.. 笑到没力。我第一次看到宪哥在我猜不需要做多余的效果，整场已经够热闹了。

Rumors said that Tsunami is going to hit Penang today. Oh well, it haven't happened.. Of course, not that I wanted it to happen, but.. I'm scared of death, and I'm staying in a place surounded by sea, so I googled '22.07.2009 Tsunami', results are.. but there are really articles that support the theory that says Tsunami may happened from 22nd July to 30th July. There's nothing we can do too, so just.. wait.. and pray.. whatever..

Yesterday I had dinner twice, but both times didn't eat much, because with my sensitive tooth and ulcer I didn't really had much appetite left. First dinner, I went out with a friend, didn't see and talk properly with her for some time, so after knocking off we met and had dinner together. My sis met me after that and said she was hungry, so we went to Manhattan Fish Market to have dinner with her, because I have a voucher.. don't even ask me why I have so many unused vouchers.. everyone is so used to give me vouchers they don't bother to keep, and now I still have a RM5 Manhattan Fish Maket voucher, lots of RM10 Seoul Garden and Breeks cafe voucher, and an A4 sized brochure with 11 kinds of food which are discounted at selected KL Wong Kok Kitchen.

Anyway, we got to Manhattan Fish Market, and my sister ordered their promotion item -- the spicy fish and chips, taste okay.. and I ordered the salmon chowder. I always wanted to try clam/seafood chowder, but everytime I went there they're cooking salmon chowder.. Of course I don't go there often, they charge so expensive.. but everytime I went there and ordered clam chowder they would say 'sorry, no chowder today' or 'oh, we're cooking salmon chowder today'. Duh.. I'm kinda afraid of the smell of cooked salmon, it smelled like.. something dead, but the chowder they made are quite nice, and the smell is bareable, so I ordered it anyway.

Kinda moody the whole day.. No mood to start the new project, but need to start tomorrow.. I don't know what my boss is thinking.. He asked me '你敢打电话给Maggie(client)吗？' 什么叫我敢不敢？难道我讲我不敢就不用做？神经病.. Ugh.. go to find someone to kacau, or else continue watching my stupid series
