Autobiography
My name is Ernie Wang. I was born in a Christian family. When I was at
the age of seven, my father had the whole family moved to Singapore due to
work reasons. After my father was unsuccessful in obtaining Singapore
permanent residence, he decided that it was time for us to return to our c
ountry, ending our six-year migration.
I got my bachelor degree at National Sun-yat-sen university, majoring in
electrical engineering. During my college days, I joined the Joy Revival
Club, a Christian organisation on campus, where I learned to help and show
concern to people in need, such as teaching music to children from my
college's neighborhood. I also served as a keyboardist in a music band from
the club, giving me a lot of opportunities to perform in front of large
groups of people.
Working in a company is very much like working in the Joy Revival Club.
People with a common goal come together and work as one. Due to the fact
that I am still a freshman with no actual work experience, I can only share
what I have learned from cooperating with club members. We exchanged our
ideas, and sought each other's advice. We had to work under pressure with
deadlines to be met. We had to improve our club continuously to meet the
expectations of newcomers. Working in a company, however, is much more
demanding, because you need to meet the expectations of paying customers.
I look forward to working in a company where I can put my skills to the
test. I will polish my skills to become an expert in a certain area. I will
make contributions that give me a great sense of accomplishment, ultimately
fulfilling all goals I have set in my life.
