Chateau Lascombes
It has been a while for me to drink some of these fine Bordeaux wine. During the Grands Crus de Bordeaux Asian Tour 2007 in November, I had the chance to taste some of these very fine Bordeaux wine and Chateau Lascombes 2004 is one of my favorite among the wines I've tasted during the events.
The 2004 vintage has the very rich coffee and dark chocolate aroma on the nose, follow with some black fruit, cherries, spice and toast, on the palate a soft smooth texture, medium to full body, still with some tannin which indicate the wine will definetly impove with another 2-3 years.
A few weeks ago, I came accorss the 2002 vintage during a visit in Tainan, and yes, I couldn't resist to buy a bottle to take with me for a dinner with a few friends. The 2002 wine shows beautifully, the aromoas of plums, cassis, flowers and a hints of toffee candy, very soft tannin and I do think we are drinking it at its peak. Not suprised that it got 93 points from RP. Cheers!
