Lesson Learned

We have been learning lessons since the very day we are born, so gradually and subconsciously that not until today did I realize that the first and yet utmost lesson I have learned is toss and take.
Hence, in what extent, it verifies and states my stage of life.

I have began to develop some of my philosophies of life, some of them may be immature, some of them may be nonsense, but there certainly are the ones invoked due to personal experiences, like the old saying said, lesson learned.
We learned toss and take when we were infants, toddlers, kids, teenagers, while most of our subjects are solid substances. However, at this period of my life, it reveals to me that my range of choices has reached to a new level, to the category called abstract, such as, relationship.

Amitee is A for Asia, M for Malaysia, I for Ireland T for Thailand and 2 Es for England.

Language, or be more specific, communication in my second language is not as scary as having me do the math (or calculation or anything related to digits). At the beginning of my office life, training from English Dept. and my sort-of-pan-American-accent did make my way through. My job role as the little translation machine exclusive assistant for my boss with all his Chinese mails is kind of a piece cake, except the usage for business phrases and jargons on technical matter. But Google saves my ass every desperate time, it always provides me with endless weird-from-bottom-to-top translations or articles from Mainland China that I have a hard time to understand (no offense…). Luckily I can find a solution in the end (or it is my boss who does the figuring out thing?)

When I transfer to the contact window for our US and Netherlands subs to all factories, life is not hard either. Translating factory’s mails to English or vise versa is like writing a memo, except the part that I am literally bombing by mails from all of our factories everyday. “English rocks”, if someone asks, I would say.

Fate smiles at me when out of nowhere that my boss decided to make me the sales manager of South Asia (and still his little translation machine/ administrative nanny/ secretary). My region includes South Korea , Thailand , Singapore , Malaysia , Indonesia , Australia and Vietnam etc. Of course I need to communicate with my customers in English, though some of my Singapore customers also speak Chinese to me and that is really nostalgic. I mean, at some points.

Friendship

畢業之後我常常看著自己的MSN聯絡人, 接著, 無來由的驚慌起來

因為他們熟悉的好陌生

我不知道要怎樣開口聊天才叫有技巧
可以有技巧的抹滅我們之間延宕數月甚至更久的隔閡
