The Present by Spencer Md Johnson

Because of Typhoon I have free time to read a book which is called "The Present". It's a story about a young boy's journey to look for a special gift which can make him happier and achieve business successfully. It is a book that we all can use to help us rediscover what is truly important in our work and in our personal lives. It inspires us to focus on living in the present and concentrating on what you have now.

Outsourced

The movie” Outsourced” is talking about the culture difference between America and India . It is a good movie for us to understand culture of India . In the begging, Todd’s boss decides to move the call center to India and asks Todd to go to train employees. There are many interesting stories about culture shock.

First of all, When Todd arrives in India and he totally doesn’t like this new environment. He feels many differences like asking salary or marriage, and eating foods by using right hand; besides, many horrible pictures in his bedroom. Then, he tries to improve the working quality and reduced the time for every phone call. He doesn’t like India until Holi-day comes; on this day, people sprinkle colorful dust to stranger. Moreover, Todd even falls in love with an India girl Paula, he not only starts to learn many different cultures about India and America , but also improves himself on understanding meaningful of life.

Reflections on life

There are beautiful sentence about  life and it is very touching my mind as follows:

Our life cannot always be full of happiness but it can always be full of love!

生活盡管無法經常充滿快樂,但我們能夠讓它盈溢著滿滿的愛!

He who is blind to the view of our souls, will not enjoy and see life as it is.

Reflection of the Five People You Meet in Heaven

I would like to recommend you this book. "The five people you meet in heaven". The author wrote this enchanting, beautifully crafted novel. It explores a mystery only heaven can unfold.
Five people meeting in heaven. Five lessons one can learn from anywhere, anyone and anytime but somehow neglected easily. These five lessons serve as a good reminder, letting us take a step back if we’re lost, have hope if we thought there was not any and realize a bit what life really is. The five lessons will make our life change or we make those people change their life.
First lesson, “Birth and Death ". “Each of us was in your life for a reason. You may not have known the reason at the time, and that is what heaven is for. For understanding your life on earth.” Once in a while, we may think that we are all alone. Actually, that is the only time wasted to think that way. If we treat everyone is life as a story, then no story stands on its own, not a single one. Stories both affect others and are affected by others at the same time. There are stories within stories; stories out of stories; stories above, under and over stories. No one is left alone.

The Lizzie MaGuire Movie

In the last English class, we saw the movie "The Lizzie MaGuire Movie" which is played by Hilary Duff, was produced in 2003.
Lizzie McGuire is a teenager graduating from Junior high school, and eager to find adventures in Rome , Italy on a School trip. One day, when they are on their way to one spot, Lizzie is mistaken for Isabella who is an Italian pop singer and begins to fall in love with Paolo. For helping Paolo, Lizzie decides to pretend be sick and takes adventure with Paolo. Day by day, the performance is coming, and Lizzie is transformed from a gawky teen to a beautiful pop star. However, her best friend Gordo finds out something is strange, so he takes Isabella to the concert and uncovers Paolo's mask. Finally, Lizzie is shining on the stage, her friends and family are also proud of her.
This movie is so attractive. To my surprise, the ending is so dramatic that I never expected. Besides, Hilary Duff is terrific, she is just a 19 year-old-girl, and she is a singer also a movie star, I'm so admiring her!!
