The Proposal

When high-powered book editor Margaret faces deportation to her native Canada, the quick-thinking exec declares that she's actually engaged to her unsuspecting put-upon assistant Andrew, who she's tormented for years. He agrees to participate in the charade, but with a few conditions of his own. The unlikely couple heads to Alaska to meet his quirky family and the always-in-control city girl finds herself in one comedic fish-out-of-water situation after another. With an impromptu wedding in the works and an immigration official on their tails, Margaret and Andrew reluctantly vow to stick to the plan despite the precarious consequences.

I watch this movie this evening.. This is really a very romantic and funny movie... I was literally laughing from the beginning to the end of the movie... There are times where i will cry.. Topics like family and love pops up in this movie...

It is really nice to catch such a movie.. It is light-hearted romance comedy.. Something that i like about Sandra Bullocks movies.. She can portray the character well and you will be absorb into the plot with her... I love the way she carries herself in this movie.. The power suit looks really good on her... And she can do anything in that 4 inch heels.. wahaha.. I really admire her...

This movie is really nice to watch it over and over again.. Laughing at all the funny things that each character does in the movie...

Happy 44th Birthday Singapore

We, the citizens of Singapore
Pledge ourselves as one united people
Regardless of race, lanaguage or religion
To build a democratic society
Based on justice and equality
So as to achive happiness and prosperity and progress for our nation

How many of us did say the Pledge out at the moment of 8.22pm? If you did, did you say it with pride? I did.. I have always been proud of being a Singaporean..I'm proud of what we have achieve as a small country.. But we have put ourselves out to the world and show them what we are made of.. We maybe small but we are strong.. We have things that we want to protect... Our family, friends and home... Things that are important to us.. Together, we will protect all that is important to us...

This year's National Day parade is wonderful.. It is so exciting and fun to watch... there is not a single boring moment... Hope that next year's parade is just as wonderful or better...

Happy Birthday Singapore!!!!

Proud to be a Singaporean

I have always been proud to be a Singaporean.. Although we may be a small country and do not have a very long history but we have achieved alot.. Especially when we were looked down upon by our neighbours.. We have overcome all odds and be where we are in the world... The pride of being a Singaporean just gets stronger as the National Day approaches... Hearing the National Anthem always gives me the goose bumps.. Going through all that we have achieved over the years make me extremely proud to tell the whole world that I am true Singaporean...

The different races living together and interacting well makes me want to share with all my foreign friends the joy of having friends of different race... My foreign friends say that Singaporean seems to be jovial and friendly.. That is because we are used to be surrounded with people of different colours so we accept everyone with open arms...

I am looking forward to the National Day Parade this year...

P.S I Love you

Set in Ireland, Holly Kennedy is beautiful, smart and married to the love of her life - a passionate, funny and impetuous Irishman named Gerry. So when Gerry's life is taken by an illness, it takes the life out of Holly. The only one who can help her is the person who is no longer there. Nobody knows Holly better than Gerry, so it's a good thing he planned ahead. Before he died, Gerry wrote Holly a series of 10 letters that will guide her, not only through her grief but in rediscovering herself. The messages are Gerry's way of informing Holly life goes on. The messages include various tasks and treats Gerry has left for Holly. This is his way of letting her know he will always be there for her. Each letter sends her on a new adventure and each signs off in the same way: "P.S. I Love You." Holly's mother and best friends, Sharon and Denise, begin to worry that Gerry's letters are keeping Holly tied to the past, but, in fact, each letter is pushing her further into a new future. With Gerry's words as her guide, Holly embarks on a journey of rediscovery in a story about marriage, friendship and how a love so strong can turn the finality of death into new beginning for life.

I watched this on cable last night.... All i can say is that this show has made me cry from the beginning to the end of it.. Yet at the same time laugh with the character, Holly... When you see the pain that she is going through, you will wish that there is something you can do to ease the pain... All the letters that her husband has given to her has a message that she has to follow... This is his way of helping her to go on with her life... At the beginning she is obessed in waiting to receive the letters.. But the letters will only show up unpredictably... So there is no way to know when his letter will show up... The show ended really nicely... I think it is one show that I will watch over and over again.. And cry each time i watch it.... I think I am going to look for the DVD version of this show...

Goodbye MJ

Goodbye MJ... May you rest in peace...

I grew up listening to his songs... I am always so amused by the way he danced... I loved his song... Everyone knew who he is... From 80 year old granny to a 4 year old kid... No one dont know who he is... This is how successful he is....

When news of his death came, it was a shocked... It seems like he was doing well... Preparing for his concert in London... And then, he is gone like that...

Thank you for being the music icon that we all knew... Thank you for entertaining us with all the wonderful music... Thank you for giving us wonderful memories of our childhood which we all grew all listening to your songs...

You will always be remembered!!!!

Sound of Rain

Finally it rained almost the whole day today... The past few days have been so hot that it was reallt a torture to sleep... hahaha... But it finally rained... Although it maybe be a little troublesome to go out in the rain but then sound of the rain is so soothing...

I dont know why but i have always love the rain.... Whether it is the sound of the rain hitting the window panes or just the smell of the rain, it just makes me happy... I would prefer the rain to the sun... hahaha....

With dark clouds in the sky, it gives me a gloomy feeling but yet in my heart, i can feel the joy... Sometimes, looking at the rain hitting on the window, it makes me daydream more... (haha... That is the real reason why i love the rain...) Daydream about life and things that could never happen in my life... Just daydreaming makes me happy... Cos it will bring me away from reality of life and make me feel that being in my own world, it brings that silly grin on my face...

So i hope that rain will continue to come and so i get to daydream more often... hahaha...
