Who Give Gredit Card Debtors a Good Appetiete(Mia率先首Po)

In "I am sixteen, I don't have a cell phone", an editorial in China Times, a 16-years-old Asian-Australia teenager unveiled her perspectives on recent boiling financial issues in Taiwan. Frorm credit card debtors, financial enterprises, consumers, high level government executives, to fundamental social education and the likes, she did bring many problems to the limelight which require us to mull over and review.
To begin with, Angela mentioned it in the article that a large proportion of teenagers in Australia have part time jobs once they are 14 years and 10 months old. In fact, it is not only a way for teenagers to face the actual difficulties in life during appropriate time, but an untaught lesson of how to live on your own which they can virtually experience the meaning of life outside of classrooms by working as a part timer. After all, being an outsider is always easier than being a competent of the game. Only when it is your turn to be in the field can you know the cruel and hardship of existence.
However, in Taiwan, those who are already 14 years old but yet 15 years old teenagers, they are just at the age of attending junior high schools. But, the crucial problems do not lie in age but our educational system, which makes these teens under the age of 15 busily indulge themselves in diverse entrance systems, not to mention their teaching materials with one direction but different versions, prolonged tutorial hours after school or additional private evening classes in cram schools. Except the above, it goes without saying that students also have to spend their both summer and winter vacations in cram schools. Therefore, most teenagers do not have the experience of being a moonlighter until they go to college. Before college, asking for pocket money is more than common.
What's more, parents of those young generations who are now 20 to 30 years old are the ones who experienced the economic crisis as baby boomers. After working at their utmost and creating economic miracle for Taiwan, they raised their sons and daughters in an inexplicable attitude of compensation and protection. Taking the son of famous artist I Tien for example, he wanted to be a member of entertainment business, but he couldn't bear the performance the variety shows required. Without matured mentality and required compressive strength, show business is not for everyone. There are always fierce competition and elimination in entertainment world because everyone wants to be the superstar; meanwhile, rookies and those who are over the hill still fight for their position. In addition, the couple, I Tien and Lee Ya-Ping, should know all these rules better than everyone else because when I Tien was the host of variety shows, he also produced entertainment highlights by teasing rookies and playing tricks on them. But when it comes to their child, they became so blind that they lost their rational judgment and cognition to the environment. Firstly, they sent their son abroad to avoid entrance examinations and military service. Then, they stepped out to protect their son who was accused of possessing marijuana. This time they simply repeat the history of over protecting their son. With such parents, how could people ask their children to grow up with taking responsibility and compressive strength to the environment? Expecting them to live on their own is even impossible.
Therefore, the fundamental problems among Moolites and credit card debtors lie in both external factors like unsoundness of social environment and educational system, and internal factors like parents' overprotection and indulgence. While external factors cannot be changed by frequent calls from you and me, all we can do is start to educate our child at home. With building up clear cognitions that the difficulties in lives and the cost of consuming, we can help them face the future challenges by cultivating proper sense of value.
