Ensure the rights of unemployed middle and advanced age’
It is reported that many unemployed middle and advanced-age labors on the verge of retirement lose their jobs because their companies move abroad, go bankrupt, or lay them off but can not apply for Labor Pension because their age and seniority do not reach the established standard.


It takes three necessary conditions to apply for Labor Pension: age, seniority, and work termination either forced or voluntary. According to the Labor Pension Act, dismissed labors (either forced or voluntary)with seniority over fifteen years but without qualified age can reinsure with their original company, business union, or the Bureau of Labor Insurance by paying 80% of their own insurance fee until the qualified age. Except for general injury and disease benefits, the rest remains the same. However, the issue is that the above conditions disregard the unemployed labors’ financial situation, since the unemployed have to pay their insurance premium four times than the employed.

I suggest that the unemployed labors over middle age should get paid and certificate by labor service, join vocational unions as proprietors, and insure Labor Pension legally. In that case, they can claim pension at qualified age with seniority no longer being a problem.
