Something important...
I guess a month ago, we already started to plan something good for our best friend. especially after we knew about what might happen to him, we took his birthday even more seriously. We wanted it to be a surprise party, yet, we can't think of any reason to make him come to the place without questioning. It started with a crazy thought between me and pear that may be we should fight, so that one of us will cry in front of him and make him worry. The biggest problem is we don't know what to fight about. Even me and pear do have times that we both are holding different opinions, we rarely have a serious fight. The only thing we know is that this method might end up having him pissed about us. We kept this as a reference though and started to think of a reason to argue about. Pear had a chat with Errol, his host brother, and Errol agreed to help. Plan changed to Errol asking him to come out instead. Puff, that is a way better plan. Yet, end up Errol was not free on that day. By the time we thought that we need to think of a reason to argue again, Yi told us that he is avaliable that weekend and he can be the one to ask him out. Everything goes pretty well by asking each one of his friends not to say "Happy Birthday" to him... Pear came up with the idea that we should record a video to say Happy Birthday from each of his friends. She filmed most of the videos a week before the actual party. As for me and her, we used the weekend before the party to do it, or I should say the time before he came out to watch movie with us. We were thinking to go to starbucks, but it's too quiet; restaurants and shopping malls're too noisy and awkward. Ended up we went to hotel Vancouver, the place between the two doors. People passing by looking at us as freaks I guess, but who cares, we filmed so much...=.= We came up to an idea to put photos into videos, too. So, I am responsible for it. That night we watched "I love you, Man", a good friendship movie!! We went to Tim Hortons after the movie, no one wanted to go home... Sometimes I really want that we are living together. That closeness of ours became family kind I think. Chatted and had fun, I had to leave to the other side of the street. After getting back home, I started to search for photos of him... I never knew that he is so hard to find. Balancing my studies and making the movie is not easy. Finished the Squamish edition on Wednesday, I sent to Pear. It is a memory of everything. Even though I was not in some of them, they were as fun. I finished the Vancouver edition on Friday afternoon. Phoning Pear and thought that I can sent it to her, she told me that she was trapped in his house. His landlord was talking to both him and Yi, because she doesn't understand Chinese.. we thought that they were being caught by the landlord about shui staying here. She couldn't leave, nor go to the bathroom...=.= I started to work on the present while talking on the phone with her, hoping that the conversation would end soon. Ended up, they were just talking about random stuff and pear couldn't go home. "He talked about his birthday..." she said, I was shocked and our plan kinda messed up. They said they pretended that they forgot, and Yi and him were arguing about the lunar and western calender. Luckily, they were good actor and actress, seemed fine after. I was asking about the colour for my present in the phone, but he was next to pear. He started to tease about she doesn't know anything about colours, so funny. I went to bed before finishing the present, so tired...=.= getting up around 10:00am, I finished the present by 3:00pm. Wrote something for him, getting ready, make ups, etc. Phone calls in between giving news to me is that, pear and yi were in pear's place and burning the video cd; shui, jiqing, philip and him were in metrotown watching movie. Hoping that he would not suspect what's going on, we had to ask two of them to leave him behind with jiqing. So that he thought that they were going back. Shui and philip lied that they need to buy stuff for MM. Yi hurried back to metro to bring him and jiqing to the restaurant we booked. The two boys met us the girls in hotel Vancouver and went to the restaurant and wait. (Shui kept on saying I looked pretty that day...haha) Yi lied that he was going to treat him for missing his birthday. We saw his head and started to hide. He was totally shocked I can tell. With a smile of "wtf" on his face, we shouted "Happy Birthday, hahah, we lied" We started to eat right away, everyone was so hungry. yet, he was not eating for 10 mins, thinking about what happened. so full...=0= Ceci helped to book the Karaoke place and alice was coming too. We went to Metro and the whole way, I could still feel the thankfulness in his eyes. Started to sing, my deep voice surprised everyone, I guess, hahaha... Me and Pear were singing "I wished myself happy birthday", and gave him the present. Ceci came and Alice came, me and pear went out to get the cake and walked into the room together. "Happy Birthday to you, Leiting" the funniest part is the Happy Birthday song, "how old are you now"<--I never knew that this song has this lyrics.hahah We left around 11:30pm, I was feeling sad I guess... I don't know if I am going to see him again in short term. We hugged, like tightly... When alice and I were changing bus, he phoned... He said he doesn't know what to say, those memories were what he treasure... if he really can't come back, the memories from these three years are hard to leave I guess... I said, "I am glad that you are happy." the other day, he sent me and pear an email... I replied, "i am really glad that you are happy... this is the very first time that I helped out in a surprise party, the process was difficult. yet, all of us cooperate and came to a success. it's hard to lie to a friend like you, you know...=.=? I believe that every single friend of yours is happy to see your happiness and that happiness is the best payback of all our hard work." to be honest, I really glad that you are my friend, you let me have a taste of strong friendship. It's because you are who you are, your friends spent so much time for you.. I am jealous of you=3= I really hope that you will be my friend forever... my 2nd close boy friend, you helped a lot! we are like family... I wish you all the best... I love you, man~
