True Jesus Church Is the Only Church to Salvation 惟獨真耶穌教會是得救的教會

By Sister Tien Chi Ya-Yun
*article taken from www.facejesus.org

In the name of the Lord Jesus, I testify about the church which I believe in. I can very positively assure you that True Jesus Church is the only church to salvation.

Sometimes, I receive phone calls saying that I have been too subjective. I responded, “True Jesus Church abides by all the teachings of the Bible, so only the members of True Jesus Church are qualified for salvation.” Some others feel embarrassed to make such declaration. I think if we do not clarify this to everyone, we ought to be ashamed of ourselves.1

Be Still

Be Still
 taken from www.tjc.org

In the daily living of a Christian, dawn is surely the most beautiful moment to behold the face of God. In the silent awakening of one’s mind, spirit, and soul, one pauses for a moment in quiet communion with God before coming into contact with others. As the first light of dawn breaks through the silent darkness, one is offered the best time of the day to be alone with God, to be still before the Lord Jesus Christ.

As the earth awakens, the almighty power of God manifested in His immaculate creation of this magnificent natural world fills one with complete awe. One lays down one’s true inner self before God, and the Holy Spirit helps one to realize all the sins within oneself that need to be purged by the blood of Jesus. With repentance and prayers of thanksgiving, one submits and entrusts the day into the hand of God for His guidance.

In life, one often encounters many problems comparable to huge tidal waves that roar through the surface of waters within one’s inner world. Such waves are the many selfish and tangible pursuits in this material world, including the pursuits for more wealth, greater status, better career, or higher education. They can easily overcome one’s heart and cause one to forget God. In order for one to resolve these problems, it is necessary to restore a quiet spirit within oneself. Long and deep prayer, meditation upon the Word of God, listening and singing hymns, and bearing witness for Jesus allow one to focus solely on God and to live a life for Him.

When one beholds a lake, the water surface has to be completely still before one can see a gentle breeze causing a stir across its surface. Similarly, one’s spirit has to be as still as a tranquil lake before one can hear the soft whisper of the spiritual wind, that is, the Holy Spirit. Moreover, just as the water surface needs to be completely still before it can reflect the blue sky and the heavens above, one’s spiritual state has to rest completely in the mighty arms of God before one can manifest the image of Christ. This great peace in God can only come through faith in the Lord Jesus Christ.

Indeed, spiritual quietude is a virtue to be cultivated. When one gives up one’s struggles and surrenders one’s entire spirit unto God, He will grant peace in one’s heart. It is only when one’s inner state of mind, spirit, and soul reaches a perfect harmony with the Spirit of God can one understand His divine will. The more time one spends in one’s inner chamber to seek God, the more one will be filled with His strength and joy.

Stillness before God is a source of spiritual strength. It requires endurance to entrust all things unto God while waiting for His time to reveal His divine plan. God is faithful; no one can search or understand His great wisdom as He is omniscient, omnipresent, and omnipotent. As a human, one cannot forget that one is but mere dust, a minute grain of sand on the seashore under the great mercy of God. “Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth!” (Ps 46:10). Praise the Lord!

'Behold' taken from www.tjc.org

BEHOLD, what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God. (1 Jn 3:1)

"Beauty is in the eye of the beholder” is an aphorism commonly heard. It’s a nice one at that; affirming the relative valuations of beauty and the way beauty is intricately coupled with something more than the mere physical.

This statement is also applicable to our spiritual lives, except with a minor change: “Beauty is in the eye of the beholder who chooses to behold it.” Unlike in the physical world, that which is beautiful in the spiritual world remains constant regardless of the gaze of the beholder. The one who can behold beauty is the one who chooses to do so.

We are blessed with many things, one of which outweighs the others in value, and that is the gift of salvation. Yet too often, we do not choose to view this beautiful gift. Instead, we focus our horizons upon other things that may be falsely beautiful, or we ignore the beautiful and look instead on that which is faulty and lacking.

In 1 John 3:1, the elder John urges the believers to behold the “manner of love” that God has given to them; that is, to behold the beauty of the love of God. This love was able to change the cross—an instrument of torture—into an object of beauty. This love set out the plan of salvation so we can return to God. This love brought light and life to the darkness of hopeless suffering.

We must therefore fix our gazes upon the imperishable, the priceless, the hope that doesn’t fade, and the incorruptible inheritance (1 Pet 1:3-4). When we do so, we are beholding the very essence of God’s beauty.

And there’s more.

God’s beauty is found in the love of those around us, in the warmth of family and friends, the sudden inspiration of a Bible verse, the soft fall of a perfectly shaped maple leaf, the help and comfort that comes unasked for, the simple ability to breathe and walk on this good earth.

Where Do You Stand?

Where Do You Stand? (taken from www.tjc.org)

And it came to pass, when Joshua was by Jericho, that he lifted his eyes and looked . . . (Josh 5:13a)

What was Joshua doing, looking at Jericho? What was going through his mind? He knew God had a mission for him. Here we are. This is the enemy we’re to destroy. It starts here.

Jericho is like our sinful nature. It’s evil, it’s strong, and it must be destroyed. How do we view our Jerichos? Do we survey them from a distance, pondering over how to conquer them?

Or are we caught up in the joys of Jericho, living according to the flesh, stimulating our emotions with movies and music, buying satisfaction from materialism, and laughing off gossip and profanity?

There’s no sense of mission in that kind of lifestyle. There’s no urgency to conquer. That’s not surveying Jericho—that’s living in it.

As Christians, we’ve left Egypt. We’ve been justified by faith and baptized—Christ’s blood has removed the reproach of our sins. We’re enjoying God’s blessings spiritually and physically. Maybe we’re thinking that’s it—“I’m saved!”

But, crossing the Jordan isn’t the end; it is the beginning. Perhaps in our hearts there still lies a vast land infested with firmly-planted sinful desires that have yet to be uprooted. Do we feel a sense of mission and urgency like Joshua felt, to face the daunting and arduous battles ahead? Did we cross over the river Jordan armed and prepared for war (Josh 4:12, 13)?

And behold, a Man stood opposite him with His sword drawn in His hand . . . He said, “No, but as Commander of the army of the Lord I have now come.” And Joshua fell on his face to the earth and worshipped . . . Then the Commander of the LORD’s army said to Joshua, “Take your sandal off your foot, for the place where you stand is holy.” And Joshua did so. (Josh 5:13b-15)

Joshua encountered God personally. He was able to stand on holy ground.

What is our mindset? Are we standing afar outside of Jericho looking upon it with purpose, or are we standing in it, enjoying its illusion of fortitude and pleasure? Where we stand determines whether or not we encounter God. It determines whether we are on His side. It determines whether our feet are on holy ground.

Where do we stand?

Morning is here. Author: Christine Lin

But I will sing of Your power; Yes, I will sing aloud of Your mercy in the morning; For You have been my defense and refuge in the day of my trouble (Ps 59:16).

We all make our share of mistakes in life. I know I do. Sometimes when we let our guards down or when our spirits are weak, we make a single mistake that undoubtedly changes our lives. Sometimes the ones we consider 'little' or 'not a big deal' are the same ones we often find ourselves repeating over and over again. At this moment we ask: 'Lord, have mercy on me. Help me. Please give me another chance.'

As I continue to walk on this path, I have no doubt that the morning is one of the biggest signs of mercy from God. At the same time, it is one we easily take for granted.

The morning can mean two things. It can mean that God has protected us and given us the strength to pull through the past. Therefore we live to see another day.

We can also think of the morning as another chance from God. We usually ask for a second chance, but how much more amazing is it to think that God gives us enough chances to equal our days! He gives us so many chances to start over and to live our lives differently. He gives us so many opportunities to return to Him.

That is God's mercy.

Don't delay. Don't dwell on the past. Know that each morning when you wake up, you can change your life. And the strength and the power you need to do so lies in God.
