flair (n.)
For a time commentators thought flair should mean only“a sense of smell,”as it does in French.
But in English today it is Standard meaning“a special talent, ability”(He has a flair for interior design),“an aptitude or a tendency”(She has flair for picking out good new songs),“stylishness, an attractiveness, smartness”(She's got real flair—she has only to enter a room to become the center of attention).
