What does it mean when you spend endless time working on things that are voluntary and receive no pay but you get great sense of accomplishment and joy afterward?  Well, I've been spending enormously time in helping with the Teacher Appreciation Week at Abi and Zeb's school.  Even though I'm not a teacher there yet, I volunteered to help out as a parent representative for the Preschool and also as the coordinator for all the parent volunteers for the school.  First I set up a google group and invited all parent volunteers to join and discuss different ideas about the event.  Then we set different activities as to what we are doing for the whole week, things needed to be done and prepared, etc.  Then contacting other parents and assigning roles...I think I'm perfect for this because I've been setting up facebook page for the school and I get to know more about events and teachers in the school so it made it easier to coordinate from inside.

Recently I've becoming (almost) a facebook expert!  Not because of my own facebook account ( which I first joined in 2005(or earlier?) can't remember, but I remember it was PP who first mentioned facebook to me and introduced me this whole new social media site), but because I have been working on the facebook page for Abi and Zeb's school that made me learn more about how to use facebook to connect with people.  I wasn't actively involved in facebook until these past couple years myself but I find it an amazing tool to expand your networks.

After almost 3 years of studying at Athens State University, I finally graduated with a Bachelor degree of Science, major in Mathematics with a minor of Computer Information System.  I was debating whether to attend the commencement ceremony or not but after a class of mine chatting with me via Facebook, I decided last minute to attend the commencement.  I’m glad I did because it’s a great experience to see some of my professors for the last time and to be there just to feel the moment.  Thanks to dear Raymond who was able to look after 2 fussy kids and at the same time film the process.  I couldn’t obtain my degree without you my love!
