Compare and Contrast Living in dormitory and at Home
There are some differences concerning living in a dormitory and at home. To begin with, living in a dormitory is convenient. I do not have to take a bus hurriedly to the school, since the school is near the dormitory. Besides, I have more time to be with my classmates after school. At that time, I can discuss assignments or reports with them. But the only drawback is that it costs a lot to live in a dormitory. As well as paying the living fees, I should also pay three meals.
On the other hand, living at home brings me a sense of security. My parents will comfort me heartedly while I am in distress. As a saying goes, ‘’Home is the best place for the repose of the mind.’’ Home gives me warmth while I feel distraught. Nevertheless, the disadvantage is that it is inconvenient to live at home in that my home is far away from my school. I must get up earlier and take the bus at once. In a nutshell, I prefer living at home than in a dormitory. Although living at home is inconvenient, I feel warm to live at home.

Diet Products: To Eat or Not to Eat
Diet products are like the evanescent magic manifested on Cinderella. When the bell rings at twelve o’clock, all the fancy dreams fade away and she is dragged back to the cruel reality. Every woman has dreams like Cinderella, and nearly all women dream about owning a perfect figure. Having slim limbs and slender waist is now a trend rolling through the world. The odd sense of aesthetics has caused a social illness, and it prompts people to pursue fair shapes as size zero models. According to the statistics by Public Health Bureau, in Taiwan, the population of obesity has outrun 50 percent of the national population, which means that over 10 million people whose BMI (body mass index) exceed 24 are classified as overweight. Therefore, the statistics shows that the weight loss market is worthy of 50 billion dollars.
Merchandisers as sharp as leopards realize that it is a potential business to develop. The advertisement and media intensively convince us that the products can make us become solid and keep us healthy. As a result, influenced by such charming advertisement and media, people are provoked to buy diet products to lose weight. The quick, short-term fix gradually becomes popular. In recent years, many people, especially women, tend to buy the “magic products.” They have turned to rely on those tiny capsules, or fat burners to reduce weight. However, all the time, women do not follow the rule to do exercise, but find hundred kinds of methods to make their body look thin. Due to people’s laziness, merchandisers have the chance to produce these diet products. Having a slender figure is purely a slogan, for we don’t even bother to actually practice it. They hope to see the effective outcome and choose facile ways to reach their goal. That is the reason why diet products become more and more popular than before. After all, “Woman loves beauty” is a natural personality.

Types of Teachers
Teachers are those who can inspire and encourage students intellectually and mentally. They are also models for students to emulate, since their behavior actually influences the minds of students. Nevertheless, few teachers are engaged in teaching well, while most of them are not at all. I have met various kinds of teachers in schooldays. The followings are classifications for them.
First of all, those teachers who teach badly to some extent are classified as ‘’failed teachers.’’ Not every teacher can be a good teacher (I mean those who teach well); in fact, one should be gifted and talented as a good teacher. Unfortunately, many teachers are classified as ‘’failed teachers’’ nowadays. Although teachers possess a great deal of knowledge, they cannot lecture in an eloquent and understandable way. As a teacher, he/ she is supposed to let students understand what they are teaching. Thus students are definitely annoyed and anxious toward what teachers are teaching about. Moreover, these kinds of teachers are hardly to interact with students, for there exists a gulf between teachers and students. For instance, my senior high school English teacher belongs to the ‘’failed teacher.’’ She is not gifted at teaching well and does not lecture in an eloquent and understandable way. So she at times feels frustrated.

The generation gap occurs while there is a dilemma between my parents and I. We hold different ideas toward taking a part-time job. My parents proclaim that I should have a part-time job like other students. To me, I want to wholly engaged in my study. Thus, the conflicts arise while our opinions contradict themselves.
In the stance of my parents, they bid me to get a part-time job, while I just want to be devoted in my studying. They think that I should have some social experience coupled with the interrelationship skill to pave the way for my future and that I should be independent economically. In daily lives, my parents as flies continuously talk to me the same belief that I should get a part-time job. From now on, I feel annoyed. With their great expectations, they still think I can get a part-time job. Furthermore, my parents tend to compare other students with me. They argue that other students have a part-time job, why I don't have one. Maybe they think that those students who can make money are greatest students. In the cycle of comparison, my parents are struck in the swirl of emotions owing to the result of comparison. In so doing, they are too money-oriented to care about my study. As a consequence, my parents and I always get quarrels concerning getting a part-time job.
Nevertheless, my belief is that I want to be immersed in studying in school days, rather than getting a part-time job. If I get a part-time job, then I will spend less time studying. For me, getting a part-time job is boring and frustratimg, since I have not cultivatred my skill and knowledge well. So I want to get cultivation and knowledge by studying. As a matter of fact, my studying is paving the path for my successful future. Although my parents' belief and that of I contradict, I may find some ways to achieve reconciliation with my parents. Otherwise, once the generation gap occurs, conflicts are around the corner.

My Taste fot Music final version composition 2
My Taste fot Music
Everyone has his/her taste for something, such as music, food or films. He/she will devote lots of time to pursuing this interest from which he/she finds passions. As time goes on, however, his/ her taste to the interest might change. As far as I am concerned, I like to listen to the pop music before. But now I do not like it any more. The reason why I do not like the pop music is that the high intense tune would make my mind distraught. Thus the soft music can bring me calm.
Like other youngsters, in the early days, I liked to listen to the pop music. Whenever I listened to the music, passions surged into my heart. Oftentimes I would dance with the tune of it. When the melody was high, I danced emphatically. Sometimes I would turn the volume more loudly. Especially in the winter, I felt warmed up while listening to the pop music. Also, I liked the quick melody which let me lift up my spirits. After listening, I felt energetic and passionate. Besides, I thought it was cool to sing the pop music.

Playing Badminton final version
Playing Badminton
I have been participating in playing badminton, from which I can learn plenty of valuable things. Since my friends join the badminton club, I also like to join this club. At first, I just played badminton for my health, but onwards I have found lots of benefits. In addition to enhancing my health, I have learned some rules and skills to play badminton, which makes this sport more meaningful rather than like a blind man playing badminton. Furthermore, cooperation is an essential element in this sport. To play badminton more successfully, I should discuss some strategies with my partner beforehand. What's more, I also learn how to show sportsmanship while I am defeated. Instead of getting furious, I will shake hands with my opponents thanking for their participation.
Nevertheless, things do not look up to my expectation at times. It is inevitable to encounter frustrations in playing badminton. Somehow I lose some scores facilely as if I were a puppet haunted by a malicious spirit. At any rate, I will do my utmost to surmount these obstacles to the realm of perfection. Whenever I am playing this sport, I feel energetic stretching my whole limbs to the utmost. After playing that, I feel energetic and optimistic. Only through perseverance and practice can I wield wisely my skills to diminish some mistakes. With all the facts that, in so doing, I eventually fail, I will tell myself I have done my best. Also, in the course of playing badminton, I have cultivated my interpersonal relationship by associating with many players. In a nutshell, playing badminton enriches my whole life rendering myself an open-minded person.
